Nigredo, “the blackening”, putrefactio. It’s the first stage of an alchemical working.
A darkness, a silence. Fire and colour will blaze up from the black soil, in time. You just have to wait.
I’m putting the blog on hiatus for a little while. Not forever, but for the time being.
Truth is, I need to focus on other things.
By “other things” I mostly mean writing. So much writing!
Yes, I’m pulling up the drawbridge, battening down the hatches, putting my phone on silent and generally mixing my metaphors while I concentrate on a new batch of fiction.
I’m not sure how long it will take, but I promise it will be worth it.
In the meantime, I’m still active on Goodreads. So come read, rant and frivol with me there!
